Hi, I'm Rachel.
I'm a product designer with 10+ years across consulting and in-house, most recently at Omada Health and before that at Daylight Design (a small studio founded by leaders from IDEO).
The two halves of that experience shaped how I work. Seven+ years as a consultant meant a lot of reps across very different domains — clean energy, public health, education, behavior change, and more. Three+ years in-house at Omada Health gave me depth: complex users, ownership over outcomes, and deep partnership with product, engineering, and clinical.
There was a management chapter in there too. My team at Omada needed a manager, so I tried it. I was good at it, but I learned that I genuinely miss the work when I'm not doing the work.
A few other things:
I went to school for graphic design. I still think about balance, hierarchy, and systems even when nobody's asked me to.
I'm good at spotting patterns. Seven years of consulting means I'm fast at finding the through-line in unfamiliar terrain.
I'm drawn to mission-driven work, particularly in health-tech and behavior change. Most of my favorite projects have been about helping people change what they do, not just how they tap.
Who needs profile pic when you can use a coworker’s drawing of your face instead? Thanks, Oliver!

The job before my first real graphic design job was working in a mail room. Let’s just say, I know my way around a tape gun.
I love to swim, but I’m not very good at swimming.
I love to nap, and I’m very good at napping.
Cutest factoid I know: some solitary bees will SLEEP INSIDE FLOWERS. 🤯
